Ever since I was a little girl,I have loved the first day of May( May Day). When I was a little girl,my Grandmother told me that every May Day she used to pick flowers from her garden , wrap them up in pretty paper and ribbons and leave them on her neighbors door. For as long as I can remember, I have kept that tradition going. It's kind of silly really but I could not wait for May first every year. I would craft pretty paper and ribbons and scope out the yard for the best blossoms and fillers. I'm sure some of the flowers even came from the neighbors own yard. Looking back, my choice to become a Floral designer probably had a lot to do with this childhood memory.  I have truly been in love with flowers from a very young age. Here are just a few of my favorite blooms.

Peonies are one of my all time favorites. Especially Corral Charm. I love this large , beautiful Bloom. The soft pink ones are beautiful as well.

Cafe Au Lait Dahlia with it's large head size and oh so soft blush color. Such a pretty flower

Garden roses not just for their beauty but the fragrance is absolutely intoxicating

Parrot Tulips with their ruffled edges are so unique

Sweet Peas are so sweet and their fragrance is soft and fresh. I love these little blooms

Hellebores are ,in my opinion, one of the most unique  blooms God created. I'm sure you can see why

Purple Vanda Orchids are so vibrant and spectacular. It's a bloom that definitely stands alone

These are just a few of my favorite flowers. Happy May Day Everyone.

Share this tradition . I'm sure it will make someone smile.
